Floor Time Play

One of Maddy's favorite past times is playing on the floor. We used to be able to throw the Pack N Play pad down upstairs and she would be safe from the wood floors, but these days she is such a mover that we had to move it downstairs to a Queen size blanket (which sometimes doesn't even contain her). This arrangement works out good for us because Maddy is far enough away from the TV that she hardly even notices it's there and we have a lot more room to stretch out too!

Maddy playing with her new connectors. She likes to suck on the end like a bottle and chew on the sides.

That duck must really taste good, check out that tongue action.

BUSTED! Maddy rolled over and saw that we had the TV on, I said she HARDLY notices.

Puppy Love

Well you all know we have a crazy dog but did you know she is crazy for baby Maddy! She steals a kiss every chance she gets and loves to lay next to Maddy's floor time blanket. The feeling is mutual too! Maddy laughs out loud whenever she sees Nola and tries to grab her nose, head, ears, tail and pretty much any part of Nola that she can reach. If you are wondering this only makes Nola love her more because she can get more kisses in! These two are already buddies and I can only imagine how good of friends they will be when Maddy learns to throw a ball.

Maddy and Nola love each other!

"What are you doing Nola?"

Great Grandpa comes to Dinner

Great Grandpa came for dinner tonight to see our house (we still lived on Eiler the last time he was here) and to meet the crazy Nola. In case you were wondering crazy Nola lived up to her reputation by having Scooby Doo feet for the first 5 minutes. Grandpa liked the house and was impressed by how big the bedrooms were and by how many clothes Miss Maddy has in her closet! A girl must be in fashion you know.

Grandpa Steve gets some time in with Maddy. He got her to fall asleep but when we put her in the swing she got bug eyes and was laughing and talking.

Getting Ready for Prince Goodrich

Prince Goodrich is coming this October but we are celebrating his arrival next week. His princess sisters, Nina and Gini, are so excited to add a prince to their household and we can't wait for him to join the family! We were making some candy for the royal celebration.

Watching Mimi make some candy.

Maddy thinks making candy is pretty fun...

...well something sure is funny.

Aren't these castles the cutest!

Checking out the finished product with Aunt Janet (she didn't make Maddy fall asleep this time).

Aunt Peg and Maddy practice how they are going to eat the candy.

Thanks Grandma Katie for taking pictures since Momma forgot her camera!

The Papas Take a Ride

On our way to the store the other day Great Grandpa say a Trike and said how neat it was and that he doesn't see many of those in Calgary. I told him that Papa Bob had a Trike named Tweety and that I was sure he would LOVE to show it off. I was right and Papa Bob even offered to give Great Grandpa a ride. I am pretty sure that Great Grandpa was super excited. He told me that I didn't tell him how nice Papa Bob's Trike was. After their ride that Trike was all Great Grandpa could talk about! Thanks Papa Bob for sharing your special Tweety with Great Grandpa, you really made his day! He is taking all of the pictures home so he can show all his buddies what a cool ride you have!

Off they go!

Maddy wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I think it will be a little while before she can go with Papa for a ride.

Here are some cute pictures that we took today at home.

Doesn't she look like she could never throw a temper tantrum?

What a little stinker.

It's hard to take pictures when your subject is always rolling over.

I swear this girl can't get much cuter!

Maddy's First Cart Ride

Maddy and I stopped by to see Daddy today to have lunch and visit. We decided to take Maddy on her first Golf Cart ride around the Golf Course. Mommy hadn't been out to see the Golf Course since before Maddy was born (guess I've been a little busy). Maddy really liked the wind blowing on her and LOVED all of the Mr. Trees. We got to stop and talk to some golfers, who of course said how cute Miss Maddy was. Daddy took her with him on 8 green to check for wilt and check out the neat red flag. Daddy said in a few years Maddy will have to get her first Golf Club. I sure hope Daddy plans on teaching her because Mommy stinks! Right now I don't think it meant much to her, but one day I know she will enjoy riding around with Daddy just like Momma does.

Now see I said we didn't have a thing to blog and it turns out I was wrong!

You must have been a beautiful baby...

...at least our mothers sure think we were. I guess after looking at both of our baby pictures Maddy is a pretty good mix of us both. Enjoy!

Here is Daddy. Isn't he cute!

Here is Momma in what was Grandma Sheila's favorite picture. Don't mind all the professional photos my parents took of me. This picture sits proudly on their TV for all the world to see me in my stylish brown outfit.

Daddy with his big smile.

This is Momma again.

Here is our little Madness.

A Few to hold you over...

...since we live such a boring life. We haven't really done anything out of the ordinary this week except go to a fish fry but Mommy forgot the camera!

Maddy really looks like her Uncle Matt's baby pictures in this photo. It is amazing how she can be her Daddy's twin one minute and then look like Uncle Matt the next.

I know this seems like just a picture of Grandma Carolyn feeding Maddy, but take a look in the upper right hand corner! Uncle Luke has got himself into another photo! I just had to laugh when my mom pointed it out to me.

I love this picture. Maddy and Logan are looking at us like we are all insane. I can't really argue with them sometimes.

If you ever wondered what Uncle Matt and Uncle Luke do to entertain the babies and themselves, well they have them wrestle. Not with each other but with their stuffed Winnie the Pooh characters.

Here is Logan in his belt after winning against Pooh and Eeyore.

I had to add this one because I love that cute little smile on Logan's face!

Great Grandpa is coming to town!

Great Grandpa is coming today! Maddy and I went over to watch Logan and the uncles while Grandma Carolyn went to pick him up.

Maddy loves to watch Logan. He makes her smile and laugh!

Maddy and Logan were checking each other out. They played nice this time until Maddy started kicking Logan while trying to eat her feet!

Hurray, Great Grandpa is finally here. Uncle Matt wanted to call Grandma Carolyn at 3:00 and find out what was taking so long to get home from the airport. Great Grandpa and Maddy finally got to meet and she showed him how she can blow raspberries and talk. We are so glad you are here Great Grandpa! We love you SO much!

Great Grandpa brought along a gift for Maddy from her Great Auntie Audrey (how crazy is it to be a Great Auntie when you are only going to be 36 next week?). Anyway, Maddy got a beautiful baby quilt. We were SO excited! It is so beautiful and I think Grandma Carolyn would have liked to keep it for herself! She said it is the most beautiful one Auntie has made yet!

A close up of the designs.

Here is a close up of the beautiful edging.

And because she is always after Grandpa Steve's heart, she also sent along this bib! I must say Maddy is a pretty Superbaby! Thanks Auntie Audrey, we LOVE our quilt and bib!
