Today I had to run to Grant's Farm to pick up the student lunch vouchers for my upcoming class field trip. It was such a beautiful day that I decided Mady and I would go early and spend the day there. I guess on our field trip rounds last summer we missed Grant's Farm because Mady couldn't remember being there. She was so excited and loved riding the tram. We saw 4 baby buffaloes and the deer were also exciting.

When we arrived at the goat feeding station we were ready or so we thought. Being that it was 9am the goats were pretty hungry and after the all jumped on us we headed outside to feed them through the fence. Mady got the biggest kick out of this and couldn't stop smiling! We then had to stop and ride the carousel, feed the chickens and check out the lemurs. We made it for the animal encounters show and Mady never took her eyes away. She was giggling and clapping and LOVED the rat race! We headed over to the elephant show and she got picked to be a helper. She had box number three and when it was her turn she got to go down by the elephant and open her box. Inside her box was toothpaste and she got a free ice cream cone for helping.

After the elephant show we went to feed the llama and he was more than happy to take the food and when Mady was looking at something he blew right in her ear. She thought that was the greatest thing! We had a snow cone and then headed to see the Clydesdales before heading home. Mady and I very rarely go on "field trips" alone but we had the best time:)
