Marker Face

This is what happens when you turn your back while trying to make lunch. I then had to keep a straight face to explain that markers are not for our face. I'm sure the whole message went out the window when I took her picture, but can you blame me?

Nashville Zoo

Connie, Madison, Madylin and I took a girls road trip to Nashville this summer. Brian and I had purchased Zoo tickets and a hotel room at the school auction this spring. The Zoo tickets expired in August so knowing Daddy couldn't get away we took the girls.

The girls did awesome in the car and at the zoo. Very cool elephant exhibit and HUGE castle playground. Wish we would have had a little more time to check out the rest of Nashville. Maybe next time!

Zoo Class

Mima bought Logan and Maddy a Zoo class for their birthday this year. The class we chose was Romp and Stomp. The kids got to hear a story, act like different animals, sing songs. The Wheels on the Train was being sung and the kids got to volunteer what they saw at the zoo. When it was Maddy's turn she said Ostrich. The teacher laughed and said she didn't think she had ever heard a child choose an Ostrich before. The class also got to meet a couple of animals. The chinchilla was so cute! Thanks Mima for the great day!

BLaur's Bridal Shower

Brian's cousin Laura is getting married soon. We had the opportunity to share a relaxing evening at the Eckert's house. The kids were a big help at present time and enjoyed playing together. Bonus points for Bobby who wiped down all the kids with OFF when they went outside!

The Little Gym

We decided to take Madylin to The Little Gym this summer. We joked that she needed to learn how to fall gracefully. She loves Little Gym and can't wait to go!

Our Pal Caesar

We don;t know why he tolerates it but he does! Maddy loves her pal Caesar.

Happy Birthday Daddy

This year Brian requested a giant cookie instead of a cake. My talented mom came through and made a beautiful cookie cake that was pretty darn tasty too! Happy Birthday to the best daddy and husband two girls could ask for!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great time this 4th of July weekend. Friday night Brian, Grandma Katie and I took Maddy down to the riverfront to watch the fireworks and she loves it! Saturday we dropped by cousin Tom's and then headed of to our friend's house in Millstadt. Maddy loved jumping on the trampoline but had a crash into another kid and got her first black eye! That didn't stop her fun and we enjoyed the Millstadt Fireworks as well.

Flower Girl

Wednesday night Maddy and I took dinner out to Daddy at work. As is custom we took a golf cart ride around the golf course. This time the Black Eyed Susans were in bloom and I picked one for Mad. Well that started something and we had to pick one of every flower we came across. By the end of the ride Mad had quite the bouquet. Thank goodness for Daddy's I-Phone or we would have missed these cute pics.

Don't mind the squinty eyes-that's her new "smile".
