Botanical Gardens

We took our first field trip of the summer. We had a great time strolling through the gardens.

Mad loves to smell flowers.

Maddy liked holding Nina's hand.

I think this picture is SO cute!

Maddy got to play in the water a bit.

We can't wait for more field trips! Thanks cousin Angie for the passes.

Memorial Day BBQ

On Memorial Day we had planned on going to the parade but got rained out. It did clear up after nap for the BBQ at Grandma Katie's. Maddy liked playing in the bubbles and giving Great Grandma Sax some rocks.

The Madness at Flickr

Just a quick note to tell you that we've begun uploading all of our photos, of Maddy or otherwise, to flickr.com. We'll still post the best of the shots here, of course, but Flickr will be home to what will likely be thousands upon thousands of others. For reasons of security those photos will be available for viewing by invitation only. You will have to get a Yahoo user ID and password (don't worry, it's easy and 100% free). If you're interested in getting there please e-mail us at mybabysdaddy@gmail.com and we'll send you an invite and instructions ASAP.

Here's a sampling of what you might miss:

Saturday in the Park

It was so nice that we headed out for some playtime at the park.

Maddy just had to ride on the Merry-Go-Round. I personally think this is the most dangerous toy invented but I just couldn't tell her no.

What better way to end the evening than with a cone from Happy Days! Maddy ate the entire thing!

Looks like summer is finally here!

A Day at the Office

Maddy got to spend some time with Daddy at the office today. After work I headed out with my camera to take some practice shots. Here are a few that I like.

This is probably my favorite.

I was pretty happy with my first camera outing. Practice makes perfect!

Rodeo Night

Last night we got to go to the PAT Rodeo Night. There was lots of fun activities but when you are 14 months old you just like to run around and watch everyone else.

Choosing is so hard!

A Couple of Quick Pics

Daddy's friend Kelly came over to brew some beer and brought his second love the camera along. These are only a few of the great pictures he took. I just got my new camera for Mother's Day and with some practice I hope to snap some good ones myself.

Miss Blue Eyes

This usually means pick me up but this time it was telling me to get up so she could climb into my lawn chair.

I know you are screaming GERMS! Trust me she has gotten in touch with worse!P.S. this is the second duckling AKA Lightning. The first one is named Bertman.

Thanks for the great pics Kelly!

Welcome to the World!!!

What better way to celebrate Mother's Day weekend than with a birth. Meet the Newest Horvath. Well the newest member of my class anyway.

If you didn't already know my class is hatching ducklings. Every year I try and every year I have to sneak one of Mrs. Pfershy's ducklings into my incubator. This year I seem to have the touch! As I was turning the eggs Friday night I noticed a little crack. I have been up to school 5 times to check progress. This little guy is SO cute and the little quack is to die for. It only took the poor little guy 20 hours to hatch all the way. I guess birth isn't easy for anyone. It is ashame the little stinker couldn't wait until Monday so that the class could see him hatch. I call this little guy the ugly duckling because I thought all ducklings were yellow! Guess I was wrong because this cutie is black with yellow highlights.

Egg number 2 has a little crack in it so we should have another little guy tomorrow! Maybe number 3 will wait until Monday for the kids. I will get back and let you know what the ducklings official kindergarten names are once the votes are in.

14 Months Old!!!

Maddy turns 14 months old today. This month Maddy continues to add new words to her vocabulary. I finally got to hear her say Logan which comes out more like "yogan" but it is too cute! She has added many more but you start to lose track. This month Mad has been letting her stubborn side show and that has resulted in few time outs. She cries when I am putting her there and within seconds she looks at me and will say "doggy arf arf" and turn her head really cute. I then have to look away because I have to smile. She is such a stinker! Since the weather has finally turned nice we have been able to go for walks, bike rides and play in the backyard. Maddy loves to climb up and down the stairs at the playground and LOVES to go down the slides fast. She claps and says yeah when she makes it to the bottom. We took a trip to the doctor and Maddy weighed in at 25 1/2lbs. No wonder she can comfortably wear some 2T shirts and shorts. We thought some molars were coming but so far nothing. We are looking forward to visiting the Zoo and joining the town pool this summer. I have 17 more school days but who's counting!

Love You Maddy! Our life would be Madness without you!

The little guy is finally here after 30 some hours of labor! This is when I squeeze Mad and thank her for 1 hour of hard labor. Mom says he is a very content guy with dark hair and looks like his daddy. All are doing well and hope to be heading home tomorrow.

Congrats!!
