Halloween Play Group

Last night we went to the Parents as Teachers Halloween play group. It was a yucky night so not a lot of people showed but we still had a good time.

We got to play with our friends Madison and Aubrey. Aubrey is 1 and doesn't have time to stay still for pictures.

We had to lose the top of our chicken costume so Maddy could move around.

Maddy really liked the Rainmaker toy.

Most of the activities are geared towards kids a little older but painting our hands we could handle. She liked getting the paint put on but wasn't so crazy about pressing her hand onto the paper.

Our daughter's first art project. Didn't she do a great job!

Daddy and Mad watched Madison play house.

Maddy was completely fascinated by the doll's hair.

Happy 1st Birthday Audrey!!!

Big girl Audrey turned 1 today! We had the pleasure of sharing her birthday celebration on Saturday.

Maddy was so excited to see Audrey. Unfortunately our big brute had to grab her face, so I had to keep a good hold on her.

Audrey was SO cute eating her cake. I don't think she understood why everyone was watching her. She was laughing and clapping. What a cutie.

Maddy had a great time playing with one of the bows.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Momma!

Today was Momma's birthday, her 28th to be exact. Daddy and I gave her her cards when she woke up and made her breakfast. Momma got ready and headed off to work while Daddy and I stayed home. We met Momma and the girls from work for lunch. Everyone passed me around and I just had to lay on all my charm! When Momma went back to work after lunch the office called and told her she had a delivery waiting. She was sure surprised to see a dozen red and white roses waiting for her, those were my idea. After work Grandma Katie came over to play with me so Momma and Daddy could go to Sam's Steakhouse for dinner. I was sound asleep when they got home but I'm sure they had a great time!

Happy Birthday Momma!

Love,
Maddy

It's the Great Pumpkin

August was the last time we got the kids together so we decided to round up all the babies and go to the pumpkin patch. It was pretty cold this morning but turned out to be a beautiful day. These little babies are sure growing up fast!

Stacy, Emelia and Grandma Kim search for just the right pumpkin.

I think Grandma picked the best pumpkin in the patch.

Maddy and Emelia wanted to eat the pumpkin vines and Logan was determined to taste the stem.

If you need to keep three babies entertained just add hay!

Just think, next year these monkeys will be searching for their own pumpkins!

On the Move!

Well, we officially have a crawler! She is actually doing the hands and knees crawl on the carpet. On the hard wood and if she's in a hurry she does this crazy peg leg crawl.

She is going, going...

...gone!

The little stink is so strong. She just pulls herself right up. The keyboard was a pretty good motivator.

Since Mad is consistently moving we decided to make a couple of safety changes to the house.

Maddy trying yet again to pull herself up. This is her blanket chest from her room. We had to move it in front of the exposed spindles in our banister. When our house was built there was no code as to how close they had to be and ours are dangerously wide. We are in the process of fixing that but until then this bench will keep curious from taking a dangerous tumble.

Maddy likes the gate. She has already thrown a few toys down the stairs and bumped her head trying to look through the bars.

Daddy what are you doing down there?

After making upstairs safe we went downstairs where she crawled over to her table, pulled herself up, played and then fell over.

Anyone have a crash helmet?

7 Month Check Up

Maddy paid a visit to the doctor today to get her 7 month check up. She was showing off in the waiting room, smiling at everyone and talking. She weighed in at 17lbs and 14oz (75th percentile)! She gained a pound in a month! She is 28 inches long (95th percentile) and her head is 42cm (that's 2 cm bigger than last time) which is still the 25th percentile. The doctor said she looked great and then let the nurse do the dirty work. Maddy cried until we could pick her up and then she was fine. We go back in a month to get a flu shot booster. This round of shots has caused Mad to run a little fever. We have already had to give her two doses of Tylenol. Hopefully tomorrow all will be back to normal.

Later in the evening we paid Great Grandpa Horvath a visit. He called Daddy today to tell him he had finished Maddy's name for her room. He did such a beautiful job! Maddy thought it was really neat, she couldn't understand why she couldn't pull the letters off.

What a very special gift for our baby girl!

Great Grandpa couldn't believe how big she had gotten or how much more she moves around.

Great Grandpa also has great chairs to pull up on! They have so many bars to look through.

Happy 7 months!

With all the blog catching up today I forgot the most important one! Mad turned 7 months old today. She is growing like a weed. Last night we saw a very tiny baby and I told Brian that I can't even remember Mad being that small. This month has pretty much focused on learning to move around, she started sitting up by herself, got her two bottom teeth and has learned to say lots of things like mama, baba, and nana. Don't ask me what all that means because we are not quite sure yet.

Happy 7 months baby girl! We love you!

Move over Nola

Well it finally happened, Maddy found the water bowl. Poor Nola, not only do the cats get in her bowl but now Mad too! Maddy thought it was the neatest little toy ever!

Looks like nothing is safe anymore!
