A Stampin' We Will Go!

Wednesday we went to the doctor for the weekly checkup. These usually consist of a ride on the scale, blood pressure check, a quick listen to baby's heartbeat, the settling up of the bill, and the scheduling of the next appointment.

This time, however, the doctor raised the degree of difficulty and wanted to see if Momma's body is getting ready for labor. It seems that the process has begun! She's at two centimeters with 60% effacement. It could stay like that for a good while or we could be on the fast track. The due date is just 14 days away so it'll be here soon either way.

After the doc's we went out for dinner (maybe me and Momma's last dinner out for a looooooooooong while!) and were joined by TNH's Grandma Katie and Aunt Mimi. We went to the Texas Roadhouse for steaks and potatoes ('cause that's 80% of Momma's diet lately!) Momma and me didn't bother to take any money with us that night (at least that's our story!) so Grandma Katie bought dinner and Aunt Mimi covered the tip. Thanks ladies, we owe you one!

Suckers!

After dinner it was time for the girls to get out the stampin' gear and make birth announcements! Daddy took his beer and his dog and went out on the deck and enjoyed the pleasant temperatures. As you can see here the girls are slaving away on the announcements. Aunt Mimi is assembling cards, Momma is stampin' away, and Grandma Katie is reading. OK so at least two of them are hard at work!

If you'd like to come back tomorrow we'll have what might be the final Room for Improvement post!

Two final notes:

TNH's library continues to grow, almost daily. 143 books and counting! Her Library Thing web page will be up to the minute from here out.

This weekend we teach Momma to blog!
