It's that time again!
Actually it's a little past 'that time' but who's counting?
Audrey and Pam, that's who!
Welcome to the end of week 32. whats.her.name (dontcha wish you knew) is now approaching 17 inches long head to toe. In the cramped position she is in now she takes up a little over twelve inches, crown to rump, of Momma's belly. Her weight is still rapidly increasing and since she will not be getting too terrible much longer between now and B-Day, most of the weight will serve to fill her out some. Her weight is now in the neighborhood of 4 pounds give or take four ounces.
Some babies will have a full head of hair by now, others will only have 'peach fuzz.' We're betting we've got one of the peach fuzz variety.
Since she is starting to fill out her skin now appears to be much less wrinkly. It should also be losing the reddish hue.
Her fingernails have grown in completely by now. Her permanent teeth are actually beginning to form even though they will not make an appearance for many many years to come.
Her kidneys are now fully developed and that means that all of her major organs except for the lungs are ready for life on the outside.
She should be turned head down and facing Momma's spine. We will find out for sure at the 32 week ultrasound tomorrow (keep your fingers crossed!)
Her movements peak this week. They don't decrease from here out, but they won't likely increase either. Considering that she now sleeps 90% of the time that means that she really keeps busy during waking hours.
At the ultrasound tomorrow we should get some estimated guesses as to length and weight, as well as learn how she is positioned. We'll keep you posted and we will upload the video ASAP.
