You have got to love when your child is still young enough to sleep in on holiday mornings! We all finally got up around 7:15 and went to check out what the Easter Bunny had left us in our baskets. Maddy had lots of eggs filled with puffs, one M&M egg, a Dora water coloring book, a huge box of sidewalk chalk, a bunny Mr. Potato head and an Easter Thomas the Train (yes, our daughter loves trains). Daddy and I got some yummy candy in our baskets.
We got cleaned up and headed to Uncle Dennis and Aunt Peg's new house. Uncle Dennis and Papa Bob were in charge of breakfast. The omelets and waffles were delicious!
While some of the grownups finished breakfast the kids got to decorate eggs. Maddy dropped and broke two before we managed to get a survivor. It turned out pretty cute!
The kids all got to go on an Easter egg hunt. Maddy did a good job finding the eggs with a "m" on them.
Before we headed home to cook our Easter ham the cousins that were left gathered on the bed for a group photo. They did such a good job. Laura has a much better pic on her blog if you want to check it out. We made it home in time to get Maddy a nap and prepare for my family, Grandma Katie and Papa Bob. We enjoyed some ham, cheesy potatoes and a to die for cheese cake.
Happy Easter!!
