Breakfast with the Bunny

After returning home late Friday night we were up and at it early to head to Eckert's. We got in line to pay for the Egg Hunt and were sure that we would not make the 9:30 hunt. I guess the 4 adults that come with every child makes the crowd look bigger than it is. We got the kids up to their designated hunt spot and they were off. Maddy did a great job picking up eggs and we even had to lay a few back down when she went over her 12 egg limit.

After the egg hunt we got Maddy and Logan to pose for some pictures. They looked so cute! Logan even gave the cutest and most hilarious all teeth smile. I had to laugh out loud. It was pretty chilly out so we put our loot into the car and headed into the garden center.

Right when we walked in we ran into cousin Angie and Maddy happily went with her to see the baby chicks. Angie gave Mad one to hold. I was a little nervous since sometimes a 2 year old's gentle is well, not so gentle. Maddy did a good job though and really liked the baby chick. We also got to check out the baby ducks who were splashing around in the water.

Maddy caught sight of the "big gray rabbit" so we decided to wait our turn to sit on his lap. Mad and Logan did a great job waiting in line. When it was Maddy's turn she climbed right up on the bench next to the bunny and said "Hi". She never would look at the camera to smile, she just looked up at him grinning.

After visiting with the bunny Maddy wanted to stop and get her face painted before we saw the real bunnies and made our cookie. I remember her little face painted just like this when she was only a couple of weeks old! It melted me then and it does now too. What a sweet little bunny.
