We are almost in to week 28 now, can you believe it?
TNH has grown to about 9.75 inches crown to rump (13 inches head to toe) and is weighing in at 2.25 pounds. This is almost 2/3 of her probable size at birth. She is picking up some body fat and filling out. (Aren’t we all?) She should add nearly an inch and a pound in the next two weeks. Her movements are increasing both in frequency and strength. The kicks are now not only easily felt but they are regularly visible when Momma is sitting still. She can most likely recognize Momma’s voice now and many external sounds are no longer foreign to her. Momma said TNH was having a grand old time during a school concert the other night! She is now partially able to control her own body temperature. Her heart is beating at about 120 beats per minute. Her eyes are fully developed and will now respond to light. Bones are fully developed as well. She has rhythmic breathing but her lungs are not fully mature.

Oh my goodness....she is sucking her thumb. She is going to grow up to be just like her great Aunt Janet. And she looks like her, too.
