This is your source for up to the minute news and information regarding our pregnancy. This first entry is pretty uninformative as I have just set up this blog for the third time and I'm not going all out just in case!
At the top would be the latest picture of the next generation. OK it’s actually the only picture. Problem is that the photo server is so overloaded with traffic that the connection times out before the upload is complete. I'll get that pic posted just as soon as possible.
FYI. It was taken August 24 at roughly C+10 weeks (that’s C for Conception). We went in to listen to the heartbeat, but the Doppler couldn’t pick it up so we were treated to an ultrasound. Everything was fine, the baby’s hideout is very deep in Momma’s pelvis so the Doppler was ineffectual. The heartbeat ran 176 beats per minute, which means girl if you believe the old wives’ tale. According to the picture there is a head, a body, two arms, and two legs. Couldn’t ask for much more at this point. In the bottom right corner of the picture is the estimated delivery dates (EDD) based on the measurements (CRL). Length average is 3.32 cm (1.29 inches), weight is said to be just a fraction of an ounce. The original due date was 3/16/07 which may be 5 days early based on the size. I’m taking St. Patrick’s Day in the baby pool.
Stay tuned for updates. Our next trip to the doctor is set for Sept. 21 so we won’t have any real news before then but still keep an eye here for blog updates.
